The evolutionary chair.

Evolution is a patient way of innovating, which does not require revolutionary inventions, but constant, unceasing transformation through development steps of an archetype over time. That is why the Guinea is an evolutionary chair, whose lines show its origin from traditional forms, and in which each component, by adaptation to the external environment, is made of the material that best responds to the function.

Form, function and what follows.

Lightness, the main feature of this stackable armchair, is given by the aluminum of the supporting structure. Thanks to this material, the armchair does not fear oxidation and it could even be placed on the deck of a ship to the Galapagos. The teak wood of the armrests interrupts the exact repeatability of the metal structure, introducing a living element, pleasant to the touch, which does not get hot in the sun and does not get cold in winter. The seat is a soft removable cushion that rests on stretched and water-repellent canvas: this combination gives the seat elasticity and shape memory. The backrest can be customized in different materials, representing the distinctive element of the armchair variants.

Everybody’s looking for something.

The Guinea armchair can be customized by choosing between three different types of backrest. It can be made of curved aluminum profiles, covered with a removable cushion, or made of water-repellent canvas in the Guinea Net version. All versions are designed to be outdoors in all weather conditions, from sun to tropical downpour, from fine drizzle to salted ocean spray. With a chair like this you can travel the world and the seven seas - Who am I to disagree?

WANDERLUST

Sat on set.

The so-called director's chair is an object that has always fascinated us for its lightness, ease of movement, and adaptability to various outdoor environments. But not all director's chairs are created equal! The Guinea Net has a backrest that seems to be suitable for a film set. Ok, it’s not foldable, but have you tried lifting it? It would be perfect for an uplifting movie!

Orson Welles trying to change chairs hoping for more comfort. Throughout his long career he has never found the right chair for him. Too bad there was no Guinea at that time, yet!
