Michele Cazzaniga, Simone Mandelli and Antonio Pagliarulo are a design team based in Lentate sul Seveso, Milan, Italy. They developed their own design method based on dialogue that can be applied in several creative fields: joining in sinergy their skills, they provide extensive coverage intervention in many different sectors, designing furniture, graphics, corporate identities, and industrial products.

Their design activity is based on dialogue with all actors of the production process: the workers, technicians, users, business owners, but especially the artisans, those who know "how to do", custodians of a culture made of experiences, tests, experiments on matter. The friendly relationship with these artisans is fundamental to the life of the studio, which often moves in their workshops to manufacture models, prototypes, or simply exchange ideas and learn. These craftsmen have always been the “masters", in the old sense of the term, being an example, particularly on moral grounds for an always lively dedication to job despite the march of years.

The design is dialogue, lies in the capacity of relating with all the actors of the production process, and questioning your ideas while in the effort to preserve the original poetry which is generally expressed in the early concept. But that's not all: the dialogue is mostly what happens within the group. That which allows an initial idea to evolve, through the comments and criticisms, and contributions from each point of view. Probably there would be no creation, as in nature, without any real emotional and active involvement by a multiplicity of subjects. Whenever you get in dialogue with different reality from the one we know (and in which we believe comfortable) a creative process is set in motion, the only process really able to generate innovation.
